Ann Kay

Ann Kay
Toronto, Ontario

Ann came to Canada in 1976 from London England. She has had her own graphic design company for the past 25 years. In mid 2000, after many test, exams and differing opinions, she was diagnosed with OA. She had her left hip replaced and right knee replaced within 3 months of each other in 2005. Her experience with treatment for OA has taught her many things, including how many parts of the medical system do indeed work. She feels fortunate to have an incredible team of individuals working with her and, as a result, has been trying to give something back to the community. She has regularly been a guest lecturer at the Orthopaedic & Arthritic hospital in Toronto for patients scheduled for either hip or knee replacement and finds this to be a very rewarding experience. She is also taking a certificate course to allow her to educate arthritis patients doing pool exercises at Bridgepoint Health Centre. She wants to be involved in some way with the medical system, which she finds very interesting.
