Marg Elliott
Moncton, New Brunswick

After working as a registered nurse and a Psychiatric Health Care Officer, Marg Elliott was forced to retire in 2001 because of her osteoarthritis. Marg has OA in her knees, hands, feet, and spine and also suffers from fibromyalgia. Her health has been stable since 2003, which Marg attributes to many lifestyle changes and adequate management of her conditions.

She has extensive volunteer experience and is an active member of many organizations including The Arthritis Society (TAS) and Canadian Arthritis Patient Alliance (CAPA) and she sits on the Consumer Advisory Council (CAC) of the Canadian Arthritis Network (CAN). Marg is particularly interested in education and advocacy. She welcomes the opportunity to act as a consumer collaborator and is happy to use some of her free time in what she feels is a much-needed area of research. She has three grown children.
