Jacqueline Hochman, MD

Women’s Health Fellow,
Canadian Osteoarthritis Research Program (CORP),
Women’s College Hospital

Dr. Hochman comes to our team after completing her training in Rheumatology at the University of Toronto. She has recently completed a MSc thesis research project under the auspices of the Canadian Osteoarthritis Research Program. Her research focuses on the relationship between osteoarthritis and neuropathic pain, a poorly understood and under-studied area. Her work will not only add to our knowledge of OA pain, but may lead to new treatment options for OA sufferers. Among her many academic awards and distinctions, Dr. Hochman recently won the Pushing the Envelope Award at the Women's College Research Institute (WCRI) Graduate Student Research Day (May 3, 2007), which is awarded to two students “who demonstrate the ability to take risks and go beyond the expected” in the presentation of their research. We are very excited to be working with this talented young MD as she progresses toward becoming a Clinician Researcher.
